About the Company
Tempest Vane Partners is working with an established, multi-strategy investment firm with several billion dollars in AUM, looking to hire a Junior–Mid Python Developer into their growing technology team.
About the Role
- Opportunity: Work directly with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and investment professionals, building technology that has a tangible impact on the investment process.
- Responsibilities:
- Build production-grade Python applications, tools, and automation.
- Work directly with investment teams to understand and solve business problems.
- Develop APIs, services, and data-driven applications.
- Work with financial and alternative datasets.
- Take ownership of projects from idea through to production.
- Identify opportunities to improve investment workflows through technology and automation.

The Ideal Candidate
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' commercial Python experience.
- Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals.
- Good SQL, API, and database experience.
- Experience building applications, services, or automation.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Genuine interest in financial markets and investment technology.
- Advantages:
- Hedge fund, trading, asset management, or fintech experience is advantageous but not essential.
