Job Title: Python Developer (Backend)
Location: Remote (Quarterly Planning Sessions in Bristol)
Remuneration: £600 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract, Initial 6 Months with Multi-Year Extension Potential
Responsibilities
Our client is seeking talented Backend Python Developers to join an innovative engineering team focused on building a brand-new service platform centered around CRM-related functionality. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a greenfield initiative, where the following responsibilities will be key:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
- Build scalable APIs and event-driven services that support customer-facing applications.
- Develop and optimise data solutions within AWS cloud environments.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and frontend teams to deliver new platform capabilities.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and establish best practices for a strategic service.
- Support continuous improvement, automation, and engineering excellence across the team.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and foster a collaborative engineering culture.

Essential Skills & Experience
The ideal candidates will possess a strong set of skills and experiences, including:
- Significant commercial experience developing backend applications in Python.
- Proven expertise within AWS cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of database technologies, including PostgreSQL and SQL or NoSQL databases (preferably DynamoDB).
- Experience in building and supporting production-grade backend services.
- Comfort in a hands-on development environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a product-focused mindset.
- Experience in Agile Software Development Teams.
Desirable Skills
While the essential skills are crucial, additional experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
- Familiarity with DynamoDB.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging patterns.
- Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
- Exposure to CRM platforms or customer service applications.
