Senior AI Python Engineer (MLOps)
Remote – UK
Tech stack: Python, AI/ML, MLOps, AWS/Cloud, Docker, CI/CD, Data Pipelines, LLMs
£90,000 - £100,000
Immersum is partnering with a high growth AI SaaS company transforming how the pharmaceutical industry measures and improves field execution.
We’re looking for a Senior AI Python Engineer to build, ship, and continuously improve the production systems powering their AI platform. This is a hands on engineering role where strong Python and production engineering skills come first.
The Role:
- Own AI-powered features end-to-end, from investigation through to production
- Build well-tested Python services, APIs, and production systems
- Deploy and scale AI/ML workloads in the cloud
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerised workloads
- Develop reliable data, retrieval, and AI pipelines
- Implement monitoring, alerting, evaluation, and quality controls
- Optimise systems for latency, throughput, reliability, and cost
- Build resilient workflows that handle retries, failures, and recovery
- Work closely with AI, engineering, product, and commercial teams

What We’re Looking For:
- Expert level Python and strong software engineering fundamentals
- 5+ years in software engineering, ML engineering, operating at a Senior level
- Experience building and operating production AI/ML system
- Strong testing, code review, version control, and clean coding practices
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience building and maintaining reliable data pipelines
- Understanding of production system design, scalability, monitoring, and deployment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:
- Hands on experience with LLM or ML backed features in production
- Experience with model deployment, evaluation, prompting, or ML observability
- Workflow orchestration and queue/worker-based architectures
- Model serving, packaging, and versioning
- Strong understanding of end-to-end ML system design
- Experience working within pharma or another regulated industry
