Remote (London once per every 4-6 weeks)

Our Client, a leading organisation operating within the defence and security sector, is looking for a talented professional to join their team on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications aligned with project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions
- Analyse system specifications and translate them into high-quality code
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications for improved performance
- Ensure all work complies with security protocols and industry standards
- Document development processes and contribute to technical reports
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience developing with Python in a professional setting
- Hold an active security clearance at SC level or above
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into functional code
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working within the defence, security, or related sectors is highly desirable

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and compliance standards
- Knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks such as Java or REST APIs
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
