Python Developer / Engineer (SQL ETL) London
to £150k+

Role Overview
As a Python Developer you will develop and optimise the data platform, maintaining high standards across design, implementation, testing and CI/CD. You'll focus on data quality and operational reliability while enhancing a range of existing technologies, including microservices, ETL processes and Excel add-ins, working collaboratively through code reviews and shared problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the underlying software infrastructure, including Infrastructure as Code, disaster recovery and observability
- Managing logs, alerts and monitoring, supporting Windows and Linux servers
- Resolving network and system issues
- Maintaining databases through backups and replication
- Support the ongoing operation of the platform, monitoring system health, carrying out regular checks and troubleshooting issues to maintain reliability
- Provide technical support to users and respond to ad hoc queries and requests

Location / WFH
You'll join colleagues in the impressive Central London office on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.
About You
- Strong backend development experience with Python
- Experience of working with financial or market data
- Experience of designing and operating data-intensive and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of databases (Relational, NoSQL and Columnar)
- Keen to take ownership and work across the full development lifecycle
- Collaborative and pragmatic with strong stakeholder management skills
- Achieved a 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline, likely to have studied to MSc
