Full Stack Python/React Developer
Location: Glasgow – Fully Onsite
Contract: Inside IR35 | Duration: 6–12 months + possible extension
Role Overview
We’re seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong Python and React experience to join an engineering team developing scalable, cloud-based applications. The role involves backend services, modern UI development, APIs, and microservices within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance full-stack applications using Python and React.js
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices
- Create responsive, high-quality frontend experiences
- Work closely with Architecture, Product, QA and DevOps teams
- Improve application performance, reliability, and security
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and technical improvements
- Investigate and resolve application or production issues
- Follow Agile/Scrum delivery practices

Essential Skills
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong Python development with FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Solid React.js, JavaScript/ES6+, and TypeScript
- Experience with REST, microservices, and OOP
- Good knowledge of SQL/database design
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Hands-on exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- Git-based development and version control

Desirable
- Banking/Financial Services experience
- Event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Automated testing with PyTest/Jest
- Experience working on enterprise-scale platforms

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
