Job Title: Python Engineer
Location: UK Based - Fully Remote
Salary/Rate: Up to £175 Daily
Start Date: In the next two weeks
Job Type: Initial 6 month contract

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a Python Engineer to join their team for an initial six-month contract.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Python Developer to join our innovative software development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications that drive our core business operations. Your expertise will help shape the future of our technology solutions, ensuring high performance, security, and seamless integration with various platforms and services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust, efficient, and scalable Python-based applications aligned with project requirements and best practices in software development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design APIs, web services, and microservices using RESTful principles for seamless data exchange.
- Integrate Python solutions with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to optimize deployment and scalability.
- Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including planning, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability across all projects.
- Work closely with front-end developers utilizing Angular, React, or Vue.js to create cohesive user experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Maintain version control using Git or SVN, document code changes thoroughly, and adhere to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in Python development with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as Django or Flask for building web applications and APIs.
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of database design and T-SQL is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud services including AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications.
- Proficiency in front-end development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React or Angular frameworks.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, XML, JSON data formats, and integrating third-party APIs.
- Strong understanding of Linux environments along with shell scripting (Bash) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN; experience using GitHub or TFS for collaboration.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools such as Docker is advantageous.
- Ability to write clean code following best practices in debugging, testing (unit testing), and documentation standards.
