Senior Tech Lead – Data Platform Framework
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Lead to lead the development of a next-generation data platform framework based on Python and Ports & Adapters (Hexagonal) architecture.
The framework is being refactored from a tightly coupled technology stack into a modular, tool-agnostic architecture, where individual technologies are implemented through interchangeable adapters.
The framework should also be orchestrator-agnostic, allowing it to run across CI/CD platforms, workflow orchestrators, or standalone Python execution.

Requirements:

- 8+ years of software/data engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer or Architect role with responsibility for other engineers.
- Expert-level Python for production systems:
- OOP
- Abstract base classes/interfaces
- Type hints
- Packaging
- Dependency management
- Building reusable Python libraries
- Proven hands-on experience with Clean Architecture / Hexagonal Architecture / Ports & Adapters, dependency injection, and interface-driven design.
- Hands-on production experience with Snowflake.
- Hands-on production experience with AWS.
- Strong experience designing CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI or an equivalent platform.
- Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Hands-on experience with secure secrets management, e.g. HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager or AWS Parameter Store.
- Strong conceptual understanding of:
- Data governance
- Data warehousing
- Data transformation
- Data ingestion / ETL
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with workflow/orchestration technologies such as Airflow or Dagster.
- Experience with Pharma is mandatory.
