Python Quant Developer
A highly regarded technology and quantitative development team is looking to hire a Python Quant Developer to support the design, development, and delivery of business-critical trading, pricing, and analytics platforms. Working in a fast-paced engineering environment, you will collaborate closely with quantitative analysts, traders, and technology teams to deliver robust solutions that directly impact front-office business functions.
Your new role
As a Python/Quant Developer, you will be responsible for building and delivering high-performance applications, analytics tools, and platform integrations across the full software development life cycle. This is not a siloed development role. The team is looking for engineers who take ownership from initial design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
You'll work within a lean engineering environment where developers are expected to contribute across a broad range of activities, including platform integration, automation, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling. The successful candidate will be comfortable working beyond pure coding responsibilities and supporting the successful delivery of solutions into production. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical and quantitative problems while maintaining a strong engineering mindset and willingness to get involved wherever required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
