Job Description
Cold Chain Technologies supports the global pharmaceutical and life science industries delivering lifesaving temperature controlled shipments. Our uniquely innovative containers maintain the cold chain, preventing shipments being spoiled or delayed, and delivering temperature sensitive products to patients on time and to help save lives.
To support our ongoing growth, we are looking for an Q-EHS Manager to join our team. This person would be based at our Reading office (Theale), and would need to be on site 5 days a week. Occasional travel may be required.
Job Summary
The Q-EHS Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and ensuring compliance of the Tower Integrated Management System (TIMS) across Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). This role provides oversight, decision-making, and accountability for site-wide compliance, audits, CAPA management, and risk-based improvements.
The jobholder will co-ordinate and manage the end-to-end customer issues process, driving root cause analysis, resolution of quality concerns, and improvement of supplier performance. They will oversee internal audits, the CAPA management system, and incident investigations, while supporting the site’s continuous drive for regulatory compliance, environmental care, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Management System Oversight
- Own the maintenance and continual improvement of the TIMS.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and ISO standards.
- Maintain and approve controlled documents, procedures, and records.
- Promote awareness of IMS policies, objectives, and requirements across all site personnel.

Audit & Compliance
- Plan, prepare, and attend internal audits in line with ISO standards.
- Lead internal audit program and external certification/regulatory audits.
- Manage site CAPA processes, including effectiveness checks and closure.
- Oversee supplier/sub-contractor audits and monitor corrective actions.
Reporting & Performance
- Define and track KPIs, risks, and trends
- Present quality and compliance performance to Senior Leadership and Management Review Teams.
Operational Support & Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and ensure sustainable corrective actions in collaboration with subject matter experts and external clients to resolve issues.
- Drive process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and risk-based thinking.
- Ensure that Q-EHS controls are embedded across operational processes. This includes completing periodic site and process spot checks.
Training & Engagement
- Develop and deliver training on TIMS and Q-EHS responsibilities
- Promote a proactive culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities
- Act as site lead for Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
- Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, risk assessments, and incident management.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting of HSE observations, accidents, and incidents.

Requirements
- Degree in Life Sciences, Quality, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience leading audits and CAPA management.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Extensive experience managing ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 systems.
- Data-driven, analytical, with strong business acumen.
