About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team in London, working on a hybrid basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our critical Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing strategies, including manual and automated testing, to verify that software releases meet business requirements and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, to identify, document, and resolve issues efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, contributing to the continuous improvement of our core trading systems and supporting our clients' success in a complex financial landscape.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience in software quality assurance. Essential qualifications include a proven track record in manual and automated testing within a structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies is required, along with hands-on experience using testing tools such as Cypress. Candidates should have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective test cases. A background in testing complex systems, including calculations, data flows, interfaces, and end-to-end workflows, is highly desirable. Familiarity with SQL, API testing, and scripting languages like JavaScript or TypeScript will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Review user stories, business requirements, technical designs, and acceptance criteria to identify test conditions, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing scenarios.
- Test CTRM workflows and related business processes, ensuring accuracy in calculations, data integrity, and control mechanisms.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Cypress, identifying opportunities to enhance automation coverage.
- Balance automated, manual, and exploratory testing approaches to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Record test evidence meticulously and communicate defects, risks, and test outcomes clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with developers, Product Owners, and business users to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and validate enhancements.
- Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including refinement sessions, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement.
