The role
We’re looking for an experienced QA Analyst to help keep weekly releases of a large social VR application stable across its supported platforms. You’ll test builds, verify fixes and identify regressions before they reach users.
The application is a mature Unity-based product in keep-the-lights-on mode, where careful testing helps ensure each change is ready to ship. You’ll work closely with runtime engineers, release leads and on-call teams. Testing may also include features in a Windows desktop editor.
What you’ll do
- Run smoke, regression and end-to-end tests on nightly, stable, canary and release-candidate builds.
- Give release leads a clear go/no-go assessment ahead of weekly releases.
- Verify important fixes in test builds and on the release branch.
- Test core user journeys across supported worlds, including travel, avatars, voice, social features and multiplayer sessions.
- Test builds on standalone VR headsets and mobile devices, as well as PC and mobile experiences delivered through cloud streaming.
- Reproduce crashes, hangs, application-not-responding issues, out-of-memory problems and performance regressions reported from production or telemetry.
- Write actionable bug reports with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, severity, device logs and video evidence.
- Maintain test plans, test cases and release checklists as the supported-world list changes.
- Help triage bug reports by confirming issues, checking for duplicates, assessing severity and routing them to the appropriate on-call team.
- Identify repetitive checks that could be automated and contribute to automation where practical.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
