Location: London (Harbour Exchange – Hybrid, 3 days from office)
Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: £416/day via Umbrella

Application Tester / AVP – London
We are looking for an experienced Application Tester to join a Dev Support team in London. This is a hands-on testing role focused on ensuring the quality, reliability and stability of business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test applications primarily developed using MS.NET / C#, backed by SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Understand business requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional and non-functional testing.
- Carry out regression, defect, emergency change and production testing.
- Perform API testing, data validation and batch process testing to ensure end-to-end system integrity.
- Manage defects and testing activities using Azure DevOps, Xray and JIRA.
- Support UAT and work closely with business users.
- Collaborate with Production Support, Release Management and Change teams to ensure robust QA delivery.
- Ensure suitable testing environments and test data are available.
- Run regression testing for weekly/monthly releases and hotfixes.
- Design and maintain test results dashboards, providing visibility of test progress and key quality metrics to stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:
- Strong commercial experience in application/software testing.
- Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle.
- Strong SQL and data validation skills.
- Experience with API testing and batch processing.
- Experience testing.NET/C# applications would be highly relevant.
- Good understanding of functional, regression and non-functional testing.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Xray and/or JIRA.
- Strong defect management and test documentation experience.
- Comfortable working with business users and supporting UAT.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
