We are hiring!
We are looking for an experienced and qualified QA Assistant to join the QA team at our Kearsley Site.
Job Purpose
To monitor and record product quality. Internal auditing of systems to ensure compliance to the requirements of the quality management system.
Shifts
- Night
- Morning
- Afternoon Shift available.
Shift pattern and working hours will be discussed in the interview.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure that all food safety, GMP and QC checks are being carried out on the line as specified in work instructions, HACCP and process control documents.
- Carry out hourly checks on the production lines.
- Carry out temperature checks on fridges, chillers, and freezers at prescribed frequency as per work instructions.
- Issue and review all process control and safety check sheets daily.
- Reporting of issues to the relevant person/s
- Collecting and collating samples for shelf-life testing
- Hold daily taste panels and conduct final inspections including completing QAS on samples.
- Take samples for lab analysis and arrange collection.
- Carry out daily calibration of temperature probes and weighing scales.
- Conduct monthly glass, brittle & hard plastics, ceramic and similar material audit.
- Collate trial information and assist with the creation and updating of internal specification.
- Assisting with the investigation of customer complaints.
- Ensure good manufacturing practices, food safety, quality and health and safety are always maintained.
- Assisting hygiene with line release after cleaning down (e.g. rapid swabbing).
- CCP verifications on lines (Gas, metals, cooling, cooking and etc).
- Ensuring stock in use is based on principle ‘FIRST IN, FIRST OUT’.
- Conducting process validations/ verifications on line daily and weekly or and when requested by Manager.
- Conducting or assisting with Internal Audits.
- Any other task reasonably requested by a manager.

Skills and Qualifications

- Good level of English (writing, reading, listening)
- Confident in working across the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills
- Food safety and quality knowledge, either through previous experience in Fast Moved Consumer Goods employment or a food related education.
- Have a positive attitude and work ethic.
- Be able to work as part of a team and independently.
