QA Automation Test Engineer (Broadband & Connected Devices)
Paying up to £353 per day, Inside IR35, Based in Ipswich (Hybrid Working - 50% on site), 12 Month Contract, To Start ASAP
Your new role
We're supporting a leading UK technology and communications organisation in the search for an experienced QA Automation Test Engineer to join a high performing team delivering next generation broadband and connected device solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on customer facing products including broadband hubs, Wi-Fi services and connected networking devices used by millions across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Robot Framework and Python
- Test broadband and connected device products throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Work within Agile teams alongside software engineers, network specialists and QA professionals
- Investigate and resolve technical issues impacting product quality
- Provide quality assurance and technical oversight across testing activities
- Drive automation improvements and test process optimisation
- Use Git, GitLab, JIRA and Wiki platforms to support delivery and collaboration
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement and Agile ceremonies

What you'll need to succeed
- Strong commercial experience with Robot Framework
- Automation and scripting skills using Python
- Experience with Linux, Docker and containerised environments
- Knowledge of virtual machines and test environments
- Experience with Git, GitLab and CI/CD tooling
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Understanding of broadband, networking or telecoms technologies
