About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Software QA Engineer to join our team in East Kilbride. This role offers a unique opportunity for a Manual Tester to expand their skills into automation testing, with comprehensive training provided to facilitate this transition. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our product offerings through meticulous testing processes. You will play a vital role in the end-to-end testing lifecycle, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and architects to ensure seamless product releases. This position is ideal for someone passionate about quality assurance and eager to grow into an automation testing specialist, contributing to products that serve millions of users across the UK.

Qualifications
- Proven understanding of QA methodologies and testing lifecycle processes.
- Strong manual testing skills for web, mobile, and application software.
- Awareness or experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided for automation testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to facilitate timely resolution.
- Participate in requirement reviews to understand the scope and objectives of testing activities.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met and to support smooth product releases.
- Assist in the transition from manual to automation testing, gaining skills and certifications in automation tools over time.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Benefits
Mexa Solutions LTD offers a competitive salary package ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The role is based on a hybrid working model, requiring four days in the East Kilbride office and one day working remotely from home, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
