QA Engineer
London (Hybrid, 2 days in office) | £65,000 - £85,000 + Benefits
If you're a QA Engineer who is passionate about automation, AI-driven development, and building scalable testing frameworks from the ground up, this is an opportunity to have a genuine impact. The Role
You will join a collaborative squad of engineers, product specialists, and quality professionals, taking ownership of automation testing and quality assurance across a modern web platform.

Responsibilities include:
- Designing and building automated testing frameworks from the ground up
- Developing automated UI and API test suites to improve product quality
- Testing frontend applications, backend services, and data flows
- Supporting regression testing for platform enhancements and integrations
- Creating scalable automation solutions that minimise manual testing
- Driving AI adoption within the testing lifecycle to increase efficiency
- Collaborating with developers and product teams to improve testability and quality standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement across QA processes and automation architecture
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, planning sessions, and technical discussions
- Supporting quality across a modern microservices-based environment
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Java or Kotlin
- Proven background in QA automation engineering
- Experience with API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, Swagger or similar
- Hands-on UI test automation experience using Selenium, Playwright, Selenide, or comparable technologies
- Understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP protocols, and web application architecture
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
- Strong knowledge of test frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery environments
- Ability to work across frontend and backend testing activities
- Experience using AI tools within engineering workflows, including Claude and N8N
- A mindset focused on automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques is advantageous
- Exposure to performance testing or microservices environments would be beneficial
