QA Engineer - Fully Remote
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Engineer based in United Kingdom.
This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a quality-focused software professional who enjoys ensuring the reliability and performance of modern cloud platforms. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and support teams to reproduce customer-reported issues, validate fixes, and improve product quality across both open-source and enterprise environments. You will combine manual testing, automation, and exploratory testing to deliver robust software releases while helping shape quality processes. The position offers significant ownership, exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure technologies, and the opportunity to collaborate with an international engineering team building mission-critical software solutions.
Accountabilities
- Investigate customer-reported issues by reviewing support tickets, reproducing bugs, and documenting findings for engineering teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases covering both core platform functionality and enterprise features.
- Perform manual, exploratory, regression, and functional testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Validate bug fixes before release and collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and identify edge cases.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and test coverage.
- Monitor quality metrics, analyze recurring issues, and recommend improvements to testing strategies and product quality.
- Work across multiple environments to verify platform stability, functionality, and overall user experience.

Requirements
- Professional experience in software quality assurance with expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Proven ability to analyze customer-reported issues, reproduce bugs, and create detailed, actionable bug reports.
- Good working knowledge of Linux, including command-line operations and system troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience using Claude Code to support engineering and testing workflows.
- Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or workflow orchestration platforms.
- Experience testing APIs, reviewing application logs, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Ability to write automated tests using languages such as Java, Python, or TypeScript and experience with modern testing frameworks.
- Strong written English communication skills with excellent documentation abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Experience with B2B SaaS products, open-source software, Playwright, performance testing, Java, or orchestration tools such as Airflow, Terraform, Ansible, or n8n is considered an advantage.
