About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer specializing in Automation with a focus on API Testing to join our dynamic team remotely from London. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks that ensure the quality and reliability of our client's software products. Your expertise will help streamline testing processes, improve release confidence, and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex automation challenges within a fast-paced, innovative environment, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality healthcare data systems and other enterprise solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks, with a strong emphasis on API testing and automation. You should have solid programming skills in Java and Python, coupled with hands-on experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives, making automation processes more efficient, reliable, and maintainable. Confidence in reviewing automation code, identifying issues early, and promoting best coding practices are critical. Additionally, familiarity with security and compliance standards relevant to healthcare data systems is advantageous, although not mandatory.

Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and evolving automation strategies across various product areas such as API, UI, contract, and components.
- Building, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks and scripts, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into CI/CD pipelines for efficient and stable test execution.
- Investigating flaky tests, identifying root causes, and driving standards for test reliability.
- Troubleshooting complex automation failures, recommending corrective actions, and providing detailed reports that highlight real risks and insights rather than raw data.
- Mentoring junior and mid-level automation engineers, reviewing automation code, and creating reusable components and utilities to enhance team productivity.
- Collaborating with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure rapid, stable, and trustworthy releases.
- Supporting compliance and security standards related to healthcare data systems, where applicable.
