The role
We are seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join our growing team in Walsall, Birmingham. This role is key to ensuring the quality and compliance of our projects across the region.
Responsibilities
- Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and other team members to uphold quality benchmarks throughout each project
- Conduct quality inspections and audits, and prepare detailed progress and compliance reports
- Assist in the planning and execution of quality control activities across construction phases
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and workmanship meet required quality standards
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams on quality-related matters
- Identify non-conformances, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure all work is carried out to specification and relevant quality standards

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Quality Control Engineer, or in a similar role within construction
- Strong understanding of construction processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus but not essential
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
