About The Role
We are partnering with a global technology organization to appoint a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their dynamic Belfast-based team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced QA Automation professional to influence the quality standards of complex software platforms. The successful candidate will work within a modern Agile environment, collaborating closely with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position is ideal for someone passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and leveraging innovative testing technologies to enhance software quality. The role involves taking ownership of test strategies, developing scalable automation frameworks, and integrating testing processes into CI/CD pipelines, ultimately contributing to the organization’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in QA Automation within Agile environments, with proven experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks. Proficiency with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar is essential. Candidates should have programming experience in JavaScript, Typescript, Java, or equivalent languages. Experience in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and working with APIs for functional and end-to-end testing is required. Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber and knowledge of performance testing tools such as K6 or JMeter are highly desirable. Additionally, experience with AI-powered testing tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT to optimize testing workflows will be considered an advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive test strategies that support continuous delivery.
- This includes designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks that are scalable and robust.
- The role involves working closely with development teams to embed quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring early detection and resolution of issues.

- They will also be tasked with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
- Monitoring and analyzing test results, reporting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes are key aspects of the role.
- Additionally, the candidate will explore and implement AI-driven testing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in testing workflows.
