About The Company

The POD Network is at the forefront of developing innovative blockchain infrastructure, building a Layer-1 protocol designed for open markets and decentralized trading. Our platform leverages a unique approach where orders are settled through frequent batch auctions, ensuring that the best price wins rather than the fastest connection. This approach democratizes trading, enabling anyone to launch markets and trade 24/7 from anywhere in the world. Backed by prominent investors such as a16z crypto, 1kx, BBF, and Lemniscap, The POD Network is committed to creating a transparent, efficient, and accessible trading environment that challenges traditional financial systems and empowers users globally.

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team and take ownership of testing the Pod trading experience across web and mobile platforms. This is a hands-on, product-focused role that plays a critical part in ensuring our platform operates flawlessly before each release. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing new features, verifying core functionalities, and identifying potential issues that could impact user experience. Your primary tasks will include connecting wallets, depositing and withdrawing funds, placing and canceling orders, and validating market creation and auction results. You will also scrutinize balances, positions, margin, and profit-and-loss metrics to ensure accuracy and consistency. Working closely with engineering and product teams, you will define test cases, maintain release checklists, and gradually automate repetitive tests to streamline our release process. Your role is vital in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our platform as we scale and evolve.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in QA or software testing for web or mobile applications, demonstrating strong manual and exploratory testing capabilities. You should be proficient in writing practical test cases, reproducing bugs, and documenting issues clearly with detailed steps, screenshots, and logs. Technical skills are essential, including the ability to write automation scripts in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python. Attention to detail is critical, especially when dealing with financial data such as balances, positions, and transaction states. Familiarity with browser developer tools for inspecting network requests and console errors is expected. Experience with end-to-end test automation frameworks like Playwright or Cypress is highly desirable. Candidates should possess a strong sense of ownership over release quality, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and verify fixes thoroughly.

Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include testing new features and releases before deployment, ensuring that every update meets quality standards. You will perform exploratory testing on trading interfaces, order books, charts, account management pages, and onboarding workflows to identify usability issues or bugs. Verifying that displayed information such as order statuses, fills, balances, and transaction histories aligns with backend data is a key task. The role involves cross-browser and cross-device testing, including scenarios with slow or unreliable internet connections. Building and maintaining an automated test suite is a significant aspect of the role, with a focus on end-to-end testing of critical user journeys using tools like Playwright or Cypress. You will write detailed bug reports, including reproduction steps, expected versus actual behavior, and supporting evidence like screenshots and logs. Collaborating with engineers, you will ensure issues are addressed, verified, and closed efficiently. Over time, you will contribute to automating repetitive tests to enhance release confidence and speed.
