Full-time, Permanent Basingstoke (hybrid) £40,000 - £45,000

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our growing technology team.

You’ll be working across our core applications, helping to ensure quality through a mix of manual and automated testing while improving how we test through modern tooling and AI-led approaches.

As part of a collaborative Agile team, you’ll contribute to planning, stand-ups and retrospectives while delivering high-quality releases and building robust, scalable test coverage that has real impact across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing and executing test plans across system, integration, UAT and regression phases
  • Building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium (Java)
  • Using AI-based testing tools (for example testRigor or similar) to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Performing API testing with Postman and Rest Assured
  • Validating data using SQL
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Identifying, tracking and managing defects using tools such as Jira
  • Collaborating closely with developers, product owners and business analysts to embed quality across the development lifecycle
  • Using modern tooling, including AI/LLMs, to support test generation, data creation and defect insights

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
