About The Role

This position requires a proactive individual who advocates for quality at every stage of the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Developers, and QA professionals, to design and implement comprehensive testing strategies that align with business objectives. Emphasizing shift-left testing, API-first automation, and the integration of AI tools, this role is vital for maintaining the robustness and scalability of the company's trading platforms and financial services infrastructure. Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestComplete is essential, along with strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Experience in designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, particularly with Playwright or WebDriverIO, is highly desirable. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or TeamCity, and experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, are also required. Candidates should have a background in API, functional, and end-to-end testing, with an ability to define acceptance criteria aligned with business needs. Knowledge of non-functional testing including performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter or K6 is advantageous. Formal testing qualifications such as ISTQB and exposure to TDD/BDD methodologies are a plus. A strong understanding of microservices, AWS, and serverless architectures, along with experience in financial trading platforms, will be considered an asset.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
