Job Type: Full-time
Location: Caterham, Surrey – Hybrid.
Salary: £35k salary plus benefits.
We are delighted and excited to offer this opportunity to join an award-winning and rapidly expanding tech business in the telecommunication billing sector.
Our client needs a QA Engineer to join their expanding technology team. This role is ideal for someone with solid manual testing experience who wants to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced SaaS environment. They are moving the testing environment forward with more adoption of automation and AI to improve accuracy and efficiency.
You’ll work closely with developers and product managers to ensure the quality and reliability of the billing platform. You’ll test new features, validate bug fixes, contribute to regression suites, and help maintain consistent quality across releases.

Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases, exploratory tests, and regression suites for web-based applications.
- Create and maintain structured test cases from requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Test new features, enhancements, and bug fixes prior to release.
- Use Postman to validate APIs, investigate issues, and reproduce defects.
- Log clear, detailed, and reproducible issues in Jira.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to clarify expected behavior and resolve issues quickly.
- Contribute to improving test processes, documentation, and coverage.
- Support the release cycle to ensure all work meets functional and reliability standards.

Essential Key Qualifications and Skills
- 2–4 years of commercial QA or software testing experience.
- Strong manual testing skills for web applications.
- Experience using Postman (or similar) for API testing.
- Ability to write clear, comprehensive test cases and identify missing scenarios.
- Excellent attention to detail and structured problem-solving.
- Confident using Jira or similar ticketing tools.
- Comfortable with discovery or AI and automation adoption.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
Desirable
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience testing SaaS platforms or multi-tenant systems.
- Exposure to test automation tools.
