About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Belfast-based team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a pioneering global technology organization that is at the forefront of software innovation. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products across complex platforms. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, practical experience, and strong communication skills. Key qualifications include:
- Extensive experience in QA Automation within Agile development environments
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar
- Programming skills in JavaScript, Typescript, Java, or equivalent languages
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing automation frameworks
- Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of API, functional, and end-to-end testing methodologies
- Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber
- Familiarity with performance and non-functional testing tools such as K6 or JMeter
- Experience utilizing AI tools like Copilot or ChatGPT to enhance testing workflows
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including:
- Taking ownership of test strategy development and automation processes to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and robust automation frameworks using modern tools and technologies
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases
- Performing API, functional, and end-to-end testing to validate software quality at various stages of development
- Collaborating with developers and product teams to identify testing requirements and develop effective test cases
- Utilizing AI-powered tools to streamline testing workflows and improve efficiency
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on testing outcomes to inform development decisions
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in testing practices and quality assurance processes
