About The Role
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer role at MCS Group offers an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading provider of market infrastructure within the financial services sector. This position is ideal for a highly skilled professional passionate about quality engineering and automation. You will serve as a key advocate for quality within an Agile team, driving best practices such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality, business-aligned software solutions by leading test strategy, automation, and performance testing initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners and Developers, you will help shape the quality standards and testing frameworks that underpin the organization’s technological excellence. This role offers a chance to influence testing methodologies, leverage AI tools for automation efficiency, and contribute to scalable, robust testing frameworks that support continuous delivery and deployment cycles.

- Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestComplete
- Solid programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, particularly with Playwright or WebDriverIO
- Hands-on experience integrating automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or TeamCity
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, along with the ability to utilize AI-driven tools to optimize testing processes
- Expertise in API, functional, and end-to-end testing, with a good understanding of non-functional testing such as performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter or K6
- A solid grasp of SDLC, quality engineering principles, and experience working within Agile or SAFe frameworks with distributed teams
- Formal testing qualifications such as ISTQB, and exposure to TDD/BDD methodologies, will be considered advantageous
Responsibilities
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with global Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams to design and implement effective test strategies that align with business goals
- Developing, executing, and maintaining automated and functional tests within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous integration of quality practices
- Leveraging AI tools to enhance testing efficiency and workflows
- Developing scalable, self-healing automation frameworks that can adapt to evolving application landscapes
- Identifying performance bottlenecks, analyzing root causes, and providing actionable recommendations to improve system performance
- Promoting quality across the Agile team, advocating for best practices such as unit testing, code reviews, and peer mentoring to elevate overall QA standards
- Managing your deliverables effectively, prioritizing tasks, raising risks early, and communicating progress, risks, and impediments clearly to stakeholders
- Defining acceptance criteria, ensuring testing aligns with business requirements
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and frameworks
