About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile QA Engineer to join our esteemed client within the Ed-Tech sector. This role involves working closely with a high-profile product engineering team dedicated to developing innovative mobile learning applications for a global user base. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading quality assurance efforts across native and cross-platform mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms. This is a contract position offering competitive daily rates outside IR35, with an initial duration of six months, based in Stratford, London, offering a hybrid work model. Immediate start is available for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in testing mobile applications, a strong background in test automation, and familiarity with modern Agile delivery practices. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-centric mobile applications that meet both functional and performance standards. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
- Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer within a mobile application environment, with a focus on native and cross-platform testing.
- Extensive hands-on experience testing iOS and Android applications.
- Strong proficiency with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
- Experience testing APIs and backend services that support mobile applications.
- In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Experience building, maintaining, and executing automated test suites.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
Responsibilities
The Senior Mobile QA Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of activities aimed at ensuring the quality and performance of mobile applications. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading quality assurance activities across mobile applications, ensuring a seamless user experience on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and test cases aligned with project requirements.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency.
- Performing various testing types including functional, regression, exploratory, performance, usability, and compliance testing.
- Collaborating closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Infrastructure teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing QA processes, automation capabilities, and CI/CD practices.
- Providing guidance on mobile testing best practices, device compatibility issues, and platform-specific considerations to team members and stakeholders.
