About The Role
The QA Engineering Professional supports the testing and quality assurance activities for a portfolio of digital products and services, following best practice standards for test quality, resource planning, defect management, and issue resolution in alignment with business strategy and requirements.
We are seeking a highly motivated Power Platform QA Engineer to support the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio solutions across the organisation. Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, and Citizen Developers, you will ensure that Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dataverse, Copilot Studio agents, and related Microsoft technologies meet functional, non-functional, security, and business requirements before release.
You will be responsible for planning, executing, and continuously improving testing activities throughout the solution lifecycle, helping teams adopt quality-first practices while supporting application lifecycle management (ALM), continuous delivery, and platform governance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Undertakes first level diagnostics, diagnosing defects against components using techniques and tools defined in the test strategy, identifies defects against the correct component in multi-component journeys, writes test specifications and test designs (scripts) and runs the test scripts to time cost and quality
- Supports the full lifecycle integration testing to support project deliverables
- Supports the team within its defined area to develop reports on accuracy, quality and errors in test diagnosis against the associated business or customer KPI's
- Executes automation, functional, regression and load testing scenarios, applying solutions that validate the functionality of applications
- Supports the maintenance of test suites and ensures high-velocity, high-quality production pushes using manual tests
- Supports the communication of complexities of internal systems to help test against known issues
- Assesses and suggests ways to mitigate risks that have an impact on the quality of products and services
- Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of QA engineering responsibility

Essential Skills / Experience
Power Platform & Copilot Studio Testing Expertise
- Hands-on experience testing Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Copilot Studio/Conversational AI solutions.
End-to-End QA & Test Management
- Strong experience in test planning, test case creation, execution, defect management, regression testing, release validation, and test reporting across enterprise applications.
Technical Problem Solving & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, assess risks, communicate test outcomes, and work effectively with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Desirable Skills / Experience
Advanced Microsoft Power Platform Knowledge
- Experience with Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse, Power Pages, Custom Connectors, and Copilot Studio.
AI & Generative AI Testing
- Experience validating AI-powered solutions, including response quality, grounding, responsible AI principles, prompt behaviour, and conversational experiences.
Automation & Non-Functional Testing
- Experience in automated testing, performance testing, accessibility testing, security testing, and usability testing.
Azure DevOps & CI/CD
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, test management tools, deployment pipelines, release automation, and CI/CD methodologies.
Power Platform Governance & ALM
- Understanding of Centre of Excellence (CoE) practices, governance frameworks, environment strategies, DLP policies, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
Enterprise Systems Integration Testing
- Experience testing integrations with platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, Salesforce, SAP, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, or Microsoft Graph.
Security, Compliance & Data Governance
- Knowledge of role-based access controls, data protection, governance, compliance requirements, and secure platform delivery.
