QA Manager
We're looking for an experienced and motivated QA Manager to join our technical team within our Beetroot factory in March. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance across our site.
As QA Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day quality assurance function, working closely with Production, Operations, Commercial, NPD and Technical teams to ensure our products consistently meet customer expectations, legal requirements and industry standards.
You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement, leading audits, supporting customer relationships and developing your team to deliver excellence every day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the day-to-day quality assurance and food safety activities across the site.
- Leading and developing the QA Team Leaders to ensure effective inspection and monitoring from intake through to despatch.
- Supporting and deputising for the Technical Manager when required.
- Acting as Deputy HACCP Team Leader and helping maintain a robust food safety culture.
- Ensuring compliance with Critical Control Points (CCPs) through regular verification, challenge and competency assessments.
- Managing internal auditing systems and quality checks to ensure product safety, legality and quality.
- Monitoring hygiene standards and working with the Hygiene team to drive continuous improvement.
- Completing thermal process validations and maintaining associated records.
- Acting as the site's main contact for pest control management.
- Preparing the site for customer visits and third-party audits, always ensuring audit readiness.
- Hosting customer and certification audits and representing the site professionally.
- Managing technical aspects of customer accounts where required.
- Investigating complaints and driving corrective actions to minimise customer issues.
- Producing and presenting technical KPIs to support business performance reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with customer codes of practice, retailer standards and relevant legislation.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is passionate about quality and enjoys working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have:

- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Technical Management role within food manufacturing.
- A strong understanding of HACCP, food safety legislation and quality management systems.
- Experience preparing for and hosting customer and third-party audits.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence communicating with customers, auditors and colleagues across all levels of the business.
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
