Job Description

We currently have permanent, full-time opportunities for QA Operatives to join our AM and PM teams at our Flixton site near Bungay.

Rate of pay: Starting on £13.59 and rising to £14.54 per hour, after training

PM working hours: 4:00pm–12:10am Monday - Friday

AM working hours: 05:00-15:30 on rotation Monday - Saturday

As a QA Operative, you will help ensure our products consistently meet the required food-safety, quality and customer standards. You will complete checks throughout the production process, maintain accurate records and report any issues promptly.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring product quality throughout the production process.
  • Carrying out and accurately recording product-temperature checks.
  • Completing quality paperwork and recording information clearly and accurately.
  • Checking that products meet customer specifications.
  • Inspecting products for quality, presentation and compliance.
  • Identifying and reporting product, process or quality issues promptly.
  • Supporting investigations into quality concerns and non-conformances.
  • Communicating effectively with production colleagues, supervisors and management.
  • Ensuring corrective actions are followed where standards are not met.
  • Following all food-safety, health and safety, hygiene and quality procedures.
  • Maintaining high standards of good manufacturing practice.
  • Helping to maintain and improve quality-control systems and processes.

Qualifications

Previous quality-assurance, food-production or manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential as training will be provided.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Can complete paperwork and maintain reliable records.
  • Have the confidence to identify and report quality concerns.
  • Can work towards productivity, quality, hygiene and waste targets.

  • Are reliable, self-motivated and willing to learn.

  • Are comfortable working with raw meat in a chilled and pressurised environment.
  • Can follow detailed instructions, specifications and established procedures.
  • Take food safety, health and safety and product quality seriously.
