QA Supervisor | Rochdale
Take ownership of shop-floor quality control and technical analytical reporting in an impactful role that safeguards food safety and drives continuous improvement across our site.
What You Will Be Doing
You will join our busy technical department to take ownership of managing our site QAs, ensuring compliance with site policies, procedures and customer standards across a dynamic site environment.
- Leading, scheduling and mentoring the QA team while supervising daily technical activities, factory schedules and sampling programmes.
- Monitoring, analysing and trending compliance KPIs, environmental swabbing and test results to proactively manage non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Maintaining site adherence to BRCGS, HACCP, customer codes of practice and food safety legislation through regular process audits, risk assessments and validation tasks.
- Assisting in preparing for and executing internal, third-party, customer and regulatory audits, with the capability to manage visits independently.
- Fostering a strong food safety culture across the business through regular interviews, quarterly meetings and collaborative coaching with production teams.

What You Will Bring
We are looking for a dedicated, flexible and proactive team member who can plan their work effectively and deliver high-quality results. You will combine analytical precision with strong interpersonal skills to lead teams, solve problems and build good relationships across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Proven QA/technical experience within a food factory environment, including conducting internal audits, managing non-conformances and holding independent capability during external BRCGS audits.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, effective leadership and mentoring capabilities, alongside the flexibility to multitask and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Hard Skills:
- Food Hygiene certification, strong knowledge of HACCP, food legislation, basic food microbiology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for KPI trending and report writing.
