Location: Uckfield, East Sussex

Salary: Circa £35,000 (DOE)

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

About Us

Our client is near Haywards Heath and are a family-run manufacturer holding a BRCGS AA certification. They are a close-knit team culture and commitment to food safety excellence.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-driven QA & Technical Coordinator to take ownership of site quality, compliance, and food safety.

This is a high-visibility, varied role working alongside a supportive senior management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain day-to-day quality records, monitor CCPs, investigate non-conformances, and oversee customer specifications.
  • Auditing: Play a central role in supporting internal and external audits, including BRCGS standards.
  • HACCP & Standards: Ensure rigorous adherence to HACCP procedures and continuous improvement on the factory floor.
  • Customer & Team Support: Handle technical enquiries professionally and assist with development samples.

What We Are Looking For

  • Food Industry Experience: Proven background working within food production, food ingredients, or manufacturing.
  • BRCGS Audit Understanding: Solid knowledge of BRCGS standards and audit preparation.
  • HACCP & Safety: Practical understanding of HACCP, food safety, and quality control.
  • Communication & Drive: Comfortable on both the factory floor and at a desk, with strong written/verbal communication skills.
