The Role
We have a vacancy for QA Technician at our Rotherham site (S61), reporting to the Quality Team Leader.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a genuine passion for quality and wants to support the site in maintaining and improving the quality of our products.
Training can be provided regarding the technical aspects of the role, but what is more important is that you are committed to being a champion of quality for our customers, ensuring that our finished products are of the highest standard.

Shifts: Rotating 3 week pattern (Monday to Friday; 6.00am-2.00pm / 2.00pm-10.00pm / 10.00pm-6.00am)
As a QA Technician at IPL Schoeller Rotherham you will:
- Perform incoming inspection and approval of materials at the point of delivery.
- Perform first-off, daily and weekly testing and inspections according to test schedules, including destructive and non-destructive testing.
- Work with the Technical Manager and Production Supervisors to raise any quality concerns, set priorities for improvement, block/quarantine non-conforming product as required.
- Work alongside the Logistics team members to coordinate rework activities where required on any non-conforming products.
- Perform checks on finished stock in the yard, and produce certificates for each load.
- Control samples stock and prepares samples for customers.
- Perform material trials testing, to verify new HDPE formulas prior to mass usage.
- Perform product trials inspections, to verify new moulds prior to introduction.
- Attend daily pulse meetings, to provide updates on any quality issues and actions required.
- Be an advocate for good housekeeping and 5S standards in the QC area, adhering to safe standards of work at all times.

About You
You will have gained experience of quality control processes from a previous role.
Ideally, you will also have experience of performing measurements, destructive testing and non-destructive testing (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided).
You will also:
- Be able to communicate confidently and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with the ability to influence as appropriate.
- Take a proactive and tenacious approach to your role.
- Be well organized, structured and methodical with a passion for good administration and record keeping.
- Have a good level of IT literacy, with the ability to utilise Microsoft programmes such as Outlook and Excel, although training can be provided.
