Location: Lichfield

Salary: Starting from £15.00 per hour (increasing once competency has been achieved)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 12:00pm

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Hawk3 Talent Solutions is currently looking for an experienced QA Technician to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Lichfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in quality assurance or inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment to join a supportive team where your skills will be valued and developed.

The Role

As a QA Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet customer, company, and industry quality standards. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will carry out inspections, maintain quality documentation, investigate non-conformances, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using verniers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Complete and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality records.
  • Raise and support investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support internal quality audits and process checks.
  • Maintain quality documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support customer and supplier quality activities where required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Essential

  • Previous experience as a QA Technician, Quality Inspector, or similar role within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills and experience maintaining quality documentation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Experience within fabrication, welding, machining, or precision engineering.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience using CMM measuring equipment.
