The QA / Test Analyst

The QA / Test Analyst is a new role splitting formal testing and quality assurance out of the Business Analyst function, where today requirements, project management, testing, and QA are bundled into one job.

Based in the UK IT team, the role builds a repeatable, auditable testing discipline across the department's bespoke Java/PostgreSQL applications and third-party integrations and directly addresses the risk of concurrent go-lives competing for the same shared testing resource.

About the role

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, integrations, and go-lives across the IT project portfolio, including Wholesale Finance, Multi-pick, and Ireland Scan to Van.
  • Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing coordination for the department's bespoke Java/PostgreSQL applications.
  • Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution, working closely with Development and Business Analysts to prioritise fixes ahead of go-live deadlines.
  • Build out formal QA processes and documentation where testing is currently handled informally within the BA role, establishing a repeatable, auditable testing discipline.
  • Own testing workstreams independently on parallel projects, reducing the risk that concurrent go-lives compete for the same shared testing resource.
  • Work with the Infra/DevOps Engineer on test environment setup, configuration, and data refreshes.
  • Escalate quality risks and testing gaps to the BA Manager in a timely manner.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
