QA Test Infrastructure Engineer (SC Cleared)

Our client is looking for a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer to join a team delivering secure, mission-critical digital solutions within highly regulated environments. This is an opportunity to work on complex technical challenges where quality, security, and reliability are fundamental to success.

You'll play a key role in ensuring infrastructure and platforms are thoroughly tested and production-ready, working alongside engineers, architects, and delivery specialists to support the delivery of secure, high-performing systems.

The Role

As a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and executing infrastructure testing strategies across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. You'll help ensure environments are robust, secure, and ready for deployment by validating infrastructure, automation, and platform services throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the quality of infrastructure and platforms as solutions move from proof of concept into production.
  • Analysing infrastructure architectures and requirements to identify test conditions, risks, and traceability.
  • Developing infrastructure-focused test strategies and plans, including environments, tooling, automation, governance, and entry/exit criteria.
  • Provisioning, validating, and maintaining test environments alongside DevSecOps and engineering teams.
  • Designing and executing functional, integration, regression, resilience, non-functional, and security-focused infrastructure tests.
  • Validating Infrastructure as Code (IaC), operating systems, networking, cloud platforms, and containerised environments.
  • Supporting Secure-by-Design principles and contributing to security assurance, accreditation, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve testing practices and delivery quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Infrastructure as Code

Experience with one or more of:

  • Terraform (HCL, modules, state management).
  • Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories, idempotency).
  • Kubernetes deployment, cluster management, and container platform validation.

CI/CD & Automation

Knowledge of:

  • Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tooling.
