Position Summary
At Light & Wonder, quality is at the heart of every great player experience. As a Quality Assurance Software Tester, you'll play a key role in ensuring our games perform exactly as intended before reaching players around the world.
Working closely with developers, artists, and product teams, you'll test game functionality, usability, performance, and compliance requirements, identifying issues and helping deliver reliable, engaging, high-quality gaming experiences.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about gaming, naturally curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to continuously improve the quality of our products and processes.
Work Pattern: This role is fully onsite at our Chadderton office, five days per week. Regular onsite working is essential as you'll test gaming hardware and software on our machines.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Do
- Execute functional, usability, performance, and compliance testing across gaming products and software platforms.
- Verify games meet product requirements, quality standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Identify, reproduce, and document software defects clearly and accurately.
- Track issues through resolution and support retesting activities.
- Investigate and reproduce issues reported from the field and provide detailed findings.
- Create, maintain, and enhance test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Perform regression testing to verify fixes and ensure product stability.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting testing deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to improve product quality.
- Contribute ideas to improve testing approaches, tools, and QA processes.
- Provide testing support across different Light & Wonder teams as required.
- Complete additional testing activities assigned by Senior Testers and Test Leads.
What You'll Bring
- A genuine passion for gaming and a strong interest in delivering exceptional player experiences.
- Experience working within software testing or quality assurance environments.
- Understanding of testing methodologies, QA processes, and software development lifecycles.
- Experience executing functional, usability, and performance testing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify issues and communicate findings clearly and accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support a variety of testing activities and priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to learn new products, systems, and testing tools quickly.
- Experience using TestRail and/or Jira
