The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced QAD Solution Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a critical QAD ERP environment.

This is a hands-on technical role where you'll develop and customise QAD solutions, maintain databases, support integrations with SAP, and provide 2nd/3rd line application support. Working closely with business and technical teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring the platform remains reliable, scalable, and aligned to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customise QAD ERP applications using Progress 4GL/ABL.
  • Maintain and support Progress OpenEdge and SQL databases.
  • Support and troubleshoot integrations between QAD and SAP systems.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for application issues, defects, and data discrepancies.
  • Write and optimise SQL queries, scripts, views, and reports.
  • Support system testing, UAT activities, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and database schemas.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and SAP teams to resolve technical and integration challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
