QA/QC Electrical Inspector - Nuclear

Location: Cumbria
Working Pattern: 4 days per week, 9-hour days
Rate: £45-£50 per hour
IR35: Inside IR35
Contract: Long-term, minimum 12 months
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Electrical Inspector to support work on a nuclear facility in Cumbria.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, with a minimum initial duration of 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring electrical works meet the required quality, inspection and testing standards.

  • Carry out electrical quality assurance and quality control inspections.
  • Inspect and verify electrical installation works against drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
  • Complete inspection and testing activities.
  • Identify and report quality issues, defects and non-conformances.
  • Ensure electrical works comply with relevant standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
  • Work closely with site teams, engineers and project management to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection & Testing (essential).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Electrical QA/QC Inspector or similar.
  • CSCS card.
  • SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC clearance.
  • Previous experience working within nuclear, highly regulated or similarly controlled environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of electrical inspection, testing and quality requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently on site.
