Southampton | £20m+ Waterfront Residential Scheme
The Company
Our client is an established specialist contractor operating as both a Principal Contractor and Specialist Subcontractor, delivering complex façade, remediation and refurbishment projects from design through to completion. They are currently delivering a £20m+ major refurbishment and remediation scheme at a landmark waterfront residential development in Southampton. The project incorporates extensive façade and recladding works alongside significant internal refurbishment works, and is a substantial, technically challenging scheme.
This is a long-term opportunity, with the contractor also well positioned to secure further projects in Southampton.
The Role – QA/QC Manager
They are looking to appoint an experienced QA/QC Manager to take ownership of quality across the project.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers, design team and subcontractors, responsibilities will include:
- Managing and implementing QA/QC procedures across the project
- Carrying out regular inspections of façade, external envelope and internal works
- Ensuring works comply with approved drawings, specifications and manufacturers' requirements
- Preparing, managing and signing off Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Maintaining inspection reports, photographic records and project quality documentation
- Identifying defects and non-conformances and managing these through to close-out
- Managing NCRs and snagging
- Monitoring installation and workmanship standards
- Liaising with subcontractors, site management, consultants, designers and manufacturers
- Maintaining the required QA records throughout the works
- Supporting project completion, handover and O&M documentation

The Candidate
We are interested in candidates with QA/QC experience gained on major construction, refurbishment or remediation schemes.
Previous experience working for a Principal Contractor, main contractor, façade contractor or specialist refurbishment contractor would be highly advantageous.
