Huddersfield | U.K. | Full-time | Permanent
STADA UK Thornton & Ross is on an exciting growth journey with more than 700 employees being fully committed to our purpose of Caring for People’s Health as a Trusted Partner. Together we are shaping the future of Thornton & Ross by living our values of Integrity, Entrepreneurship, Agility and One STADA.
Step into the heart of laboratory science as a QC Analyst and see your work make a real impact from day one. In this role, you’ll generate high-quality, accurate and timely data that keeps our products safe, effective and ready for patients and customers.
You’ll be hands-on in the lab, testing the raw materials that go into our products using HPLC and wet chemistry techniques, amongst others, spotting and investigating data anomalies, and contributing to team and site-wide objectives. You’ll also help keep our laboratory systems robust and compliant, working to technical, operational, SHE and cGMP standards every step of the way.
If you’re a science graduate or have a couple of years’ experience in a lab environment and you’re passionate about data integrity, analytical excellence and learning advanced techniques, this is your opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced QC team.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Deliver high-quality analytical results in full compliance with cGMP and local procedures, protecting product release, business continuity and company reputation.
- Proactively spot process, method and data issues, raise anomalies, and help shape practical improvements with management support.
- Own your workload over 1–7 day periods, following team plans and objectives while acting as a supportive, collaborative team player.
- Contribute to robust data integrity by generating clear, accurate records and peer-reviewing colleagues’ data as part of the checking process.
- Maintain and improve key lab systems and ways of working (e.g. Kanban, 6S), ensuring a safe, efficient and well-organised environment.
- Bring strong communication, a self-starting attitude, willingness to research new subject areas and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
