About The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QC Analyst - Analytical to join a prominent manufacturing business located near Preston. This is a permanent position offering a dynamic working environment within a regulated laboratory setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of products through rigorous analytical testing and quality control procedures. The role involves working on rotating shifts, including early and late shifts, to maintain continuous production quality assurance. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline from a recognized institution. Previous experience working in a regulated laboratory environment, such as pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing, is essential. Familiarity with analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, titrations, and spectrophotometry is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow strict protocols and procedures. Relevant certifications or training in GMP, GLP, or ISO standards will be advantageous. A proactive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team are also important attributes for this role.

Responsibilities

As a QC Analyst - Analytical, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting detailed analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation of test results, ensuring traceability and adherence to quality management systems.
  • Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment, troubleshooting analytical issues, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Participating in internal audits and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
  • Collaborating closely with production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and support product development activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean, organized laboratory environment.
