The Role
We are currently recruiting a QC Analyst (Packaging Materials) to join our team supporting our client’s Quality Control function at their pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Ware.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic scientist looking to develop their career within a GMP-regulated laboratory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing quality control testing of packaging material components used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, ensuring materials meet defined quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality control testing of packaging material samples using approved analytical methods and specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and basic analytical testing, including IR analysis.
- Accurately prepare, review, and record analytical data in compliance with GMP and data integrity requirements.
- Assess analytical results against predefined acceptance criteria and support technical investigations where required.
- Support process qualifications, validation activities, and laboratory improvement initiatives.
- Perform laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and housekeeping activities.
- Promote safe working practices and maintain compliance with GMP, EHS, COSHH, and site procedures.
- Participate in cross-training activities and provide support across the wider laboratory team.

What We're Looking For
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous laboratory experience within a pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated environment desirable.
- Understanding of GMP requirements and data integrity principles (ALCOA+).
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Experience following SOPs, work instructions, and laboratory procedures.
- Good organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office and laboratory IT systems.
- Team-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
