Join our Quality Control Analytical team in Nottingham as a QC Analytical Scientist

We are looking for a QC Analytical Scientist to join our Quality Control Analytical department at Sartorius Albumedix Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing, investigational work, and routine QC tasks in support of manufacturing biopharmaceutical products.

The team consists of 8 professionals and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.

This position is full-time on a permanent basis. It is an onsite role in central Nottingham, a short walk from the train station and tram stop.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis you will perform testing of production raw materials, plant utilities, in process and finished products and product stability samples, adhering to compliance with GMP
  • You will participate in investigational activities where analysis is required to help identify production related issues
  • You will assist in other routine QC tasks including equipment maintenance, qualification, stability protocols, documentation control, and laboratory housekeeping
  • You will be involved in test method validation activities for HPLC, GC, ELISA, and gel electrophoresis assays, writing and executing protocols
  • All tasks are to be undertaken according to GMP regulations

What will convince us

  • BSc or MSc degree in Life Sciences i.e.: biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, etc.
  • Previous experience in a QC laboratory adhering to cGMP guidelines
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, AA, Gel electrophoresis, ELISA
  • Experience in equipment and test method validation for assays would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of microbiological techniques
  • You will have strong attention to detail, working well as part of a team and individually
  • You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have the ability to follow procedures and quality standards
  • You are adaptable and flexible in your approach
  • In order to commence working with us, the successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
