Job Purpose

As a QC Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of equipment across our service and operations activities. Supporting both onshore and offshore teams, you will be responsible for inspecting equipment, verifying documentation, maintaining quality records, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to ensure products and services meet the highest quality standards.

This position is being offered on a PAYE basis for a period of 6 months, with the potential to extend.

Job Description

  • Inspecting equipment in accordance with technical specifications, engineering drawings, product specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Verifying quality documentation and ensuring records are complete, accurate, and auditable.
  • Maintaining inspection records and processing quality transactions within SAP and other business systems.
  • Supporting repair scope development and refurbishment activities.
  • Managing non-conformances and supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Participating in project reviews, operational meetings, and pre-job kick-off meetings as required.
  • Processing engineering change notifications (ECNs) and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
  • Witnessing and validating testing activities where applicable.
  • Promoting continuous improvement through standardisation, waste reduction, 5S, and lean methodologies.
  • Working safely and in compliance with all applicable HSE requirements and company procedures.
  • Collaborating with operations, engineering, procurement, warehouse and offshore teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You are meant for this job if:

Essential

  • HNC/HND qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Planning, or Product Repair environment.
  • Experience of QC, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection processes.
  • Experience using quality control tools and methodologies.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and SAP/ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.

Desirable

  • ASNT or ISO 9712 (PCN) Level II certification in MPI/LPI or other NDT disciplines.
  • FARO Arm experience or training.
  • FLT and Overhead Gantry Crane certification.
  • Rotary and Premium Shouldered Connection experience.
  • Knowledge of drilling, production, or subsea equipment.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and quality investigations.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.
