We have a new and exciting opportunity for a QC Inspector to join us on this exciting journey.
Are you enthusiastic about the idea of joining the world's largest Monopile Factory? Your contribution will be crucial in building the foundations for a future with Net Zero emissions.
Are you an experienced Plater, Welder or Fabricator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality control? Join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in the day-to-day inspection, measurement, and documentation of steel plates used in production. You'll work closely with the Material Controller, inspecting all incoming steel and ensuring accurate records of material traceability for each monopile.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintaining records of plate alignments, can rolling, calibration, and flange fit-up tolerances
- Ensuring equipment is properly calibrated according to SeAH Wind procedures
- Monitoring key hold points during welding processes
- Collaborating with our Quality Inspector to ensure inspection and test plan checkpoints are met
In addition to inspecting steel, you'll:
- Assist with non-conformance investigations
- Help with secondary steel markings
- Ensure all steel in the shop is traceable

Requirements
We're looking for a Time Served Plater, Welder or Fabricator with a professional qualification (such as C&G or NVQ), a thorough understanding of inspection and test plans, and strong computer skills. MEWP certification is a plus, and we're seeking someone meticulous with records and reports, a great communicator, and a dedicated team player. If you have experience with welding logs and welding traceability, we'd love to hear from you!
Pay Rates
- Hourly Rate: £23.56
- Shift Rotation: 2 Shift rotation 1 week days and 1 week nights
- Night Shift Allowance: 30%
- Overtime Rates:
- OT1: Rate of a third of hourly rate for overtime on weekdays
- OT2: Rate of time and a half of hourly rate for Saturday overtime
- OT3: Rate of double time of hourly rate for Sunday overtime
