About the company
Our client is a global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) providing end-to-end development and manufacturing solutions across the drug life cycle. Their services include process and pharmaceutical development, clinical trial supplies, and commercial supply of APIs and finished dosage forms. They also offer specialist capabilities in the field of biologics.
The role
You'll join the Quality team at a GMP-regulated site, running cleanroom environmental monitoring and Water for Injection sampling and testing. You'll also support microbiological testing across raw materials, in-process samples, bulk drug substance, final products and stability samples.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out environmental monitoring and Water for Injection sampling and testing as directed
- Support GMP microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, bulk drug substance, final and stability products, and flag any failures or atypical results promptly
- Record and check data in line with Data Integrity requirements
- Manage stock checks and orders for raw materials and consumables
- Support laboratory housekeeping, equipment maintenance and calibration, and report any calibration failures promptly
- Assist with equipment periodic reviews and maintaining calibration status
- Take part in deviations, investigations and laboratory investigations
- Help update SOPs, protocols and other QC documentation
- Contribute to audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain QC information systems
- Keep up to date with GMP, safety and environmental requirements
- Provide cover for other departments and take on other reasonable duties as requested

About you

- Experience or a background in microbiology, ideally in a pharmaceutical, biotech or other GMP-regulated environment
- Microbiology graduates would be considered but must be able to demonstrate microbiology skills
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, environmental monitoring or water testing is desirable
- Good understanding of GMP and Data Integrity principles would be beneficial
- Methodical, with strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- A good communicator who works well in a team and is flexible when covering other areas
