Scientist (Method Validation)

Location: Slough - This is a lab based role

Provide laboratory support for the manufacture of antibodies and recombinant proteins, carrying out experimental work, generating and documenting data, and supporting routine scientific projects. Responsibilities include performing assays, preparing reports and protocols, training team members, maintaining laboratory equipment and stock levels, assisting with investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do

  • Perform laboratory experiments and analytical testing with minimal supervision
  • Collect, analyse and accurately document scientific data, including the review and sign-off of routine assays
  • Prepare routine scientific documentation, including test methods, protocols and technical reports
  • Deliver training and knowledge sharing on analytical methods and laboratory procedures
  • Maintain laboratory standards through routine housekeeping, equipment maintenance and stock management of reagents and consumables
  • Take ownership of designated laboratory systems and processes where required
  • Support troubleshooting activities and contribute to out-of-specification (OOS) and laboratory investigations

What we are looking for

  • Degree in a scientific or quality-related discipline
  • Basic knowledge of Analytical Laboratory methods for use in protein analytics
  • Previous experience of working within a GMP environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve challenges promptly
