Overview

We are seeking an experienced QE Test Lead to support a large-scale business and technology transformation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the overall testing strategy, establishing quality governance, coordinating testing activities across multiple technology workstreams, and leading a wider Quality Engineering team.

This role requires a strong testing background combined with leadership experience across complex delivery environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within Agile product-led teams and managing both internal and supplier-led testing activities to ensure successful programme delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the overall test strategy and quality approach across the programme.
  • Establish quality governance frameworks, standards, metrics, and reporting.
  • Develop and manage programme-level test plans, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
  • Lead and coordinate testing activities across multiple workstreams and delivery teams.
  • Manage cross-functional and supplier-led test teams.
  • Oversee functional, integration, system, regression, and data testing activities.
  • Drive adoption of Quality Engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure effective test coverage across business processes, integrations, and data flows.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, and Delivery Leads to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Manage defects, testing risks, and quality-related issues through to resolution.
  • Provide regular quality reporting and test status updates to programme stakeholders.
  • Support release planning, deployment activities, and production readiness assessments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
